Adirondack Central School District Universal Pre-Kindergarten Program

Highlights of ACSD's Universal Pre-K Program:

The Adirondack Central School District's Universal Pre-Kindergarten program addresses instructional components, cognitive skills, social and emotional development and the physical skills of young learners. Children must be four years old on or before December 1 and reside in the Adirondack Central School District to be eligible. For an application please contact the Adirondack Central School District's District office.

Enrollment:

Universal Pre-Kindergarten is open to all children residing in the Adirondack Central School District who are four years old on or before December 1 of the current school year. Income eligibility is not a factor and all families are encouraged to apply. Up to 18 students are allowed in each Pre-Kindergarten classroom

Staff:

The Pre-Kindergarten staff at Adirondack Central School District consists of a certified teacher and an Aide in each Pre-Kindergarten classroom.

Universal Pre-K Activities include:

Reading Readiness, Language Develpment, Math Readiness, Science Investigations, Literature Exploration, Social Skill Development, Self-Help Skill Development, Large Motor Activities, Fine Motor Development, Intentional Field Trips, Music, Library, STEAM ,and Parent Engagement Activities.

Transportation:

Transportation will only be provided for children who are four years of age.
