MVCC College Connection
There are NEW MVCC College Connection Procedures
Step 1: New applicants must attend one of the following mandatory information sessions with a completed application, high school transcript and newly required health form.
Applications and health forms are available through your child's school counselor.
- Saturday, March 12, 2016 at the Information Technology Building, Room 225 at 2pm
- Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Alumni College Center, Room 116 at 11am
- Friday, May 6, 2016 at the Alumni College Center, Room 116 at 7pm
Step 2: Once you have attended the information session, applicants must then take an MVCC Placement Test which can be scheduled online (www.mvcc.edu/placement-testing/placement-testing-center)
Step 3: After the placement test is taken, ONLY the student's school counselor may request the test scores due to FERPA laws.
Step 4: Once registered, students will receive a copy of their schedule and a copy of the bill (part time technology and activity fees) through the mail. Students must pay the bill by the deadline or risk being dropped from the class.
Step 5: Students will receive mid-term grades through the mail. Final grades will also be mailed to the student.
- Student must meet first their high school counselor to confirm they meet the qualifications.
Student qualifications:
Must be a high school junior or senior GPA of B/80/3.0 or higher
Recommendation to participate by school counselor
**The deadline for a Fall 2016 class has now passed. There is still time to take a class this spring**
*Student will meet with their school counselor and the counselor will assist the student in searching for a course to take at MVCC.
